Your Council

Lanchester Parish Council is made up of 15 members elected every four years by the people of Lanchester. The Full Council meets every month on the second Tuesday at 7.15pm at Lynwood House, Durham Road, Lanchester.

The council also has four sub-committees, Planning, Finance and General Purposes, Recreation and Complaints. The Council may also form working groups to co-ordinate certain projects or tasks.

Lanchester Parish Council seeks work in partnership with all our parish organisations and undertakes joint projects such as the development of the bike track, the Locality Map and the Banner project

The present Council was elected in May 2013 and currently has 11 Labour members, 2 Derwentside Independent members, 1 Conservative member and 1 Independent member.
